British Universities & Student Fives Championships

Marlborough College, Wiltshire, Saturday-Sunday November 16/17th

The organisers have now published the draws for the 2019 Student Championships, which take place at Marlborough College in just under a fortnight. And, if the seedings work out, it’ll be the defending champions who return home with the trophies.

In the singles, Edinburgh’s David Butler is top seed, but he’ll have to be on top of his game to repeat last year’s victory. Ben Beltrami is second seed, while among the other seeds are Andrew Boyd, Tom Watkinson and Ben Jourdan, as well as last year’s runner-up, Theo Parker.

Theo is only fifth seed in the singles, but he and partner Ollie Arnold (from Bristol, pictured above) are top seeds in the doubles. According to the rankings, they’ll face Beltrami & Watkinson in the final, but other fancied pairs include the Edinburgh duo of Butler & Boyd, along with the Oxford pair of Kirwan & Bhushan.

A fine weekend of Fives is in prospect, and we’ll do our best to keep you updated on the RFA’s social media channels during the event. But, if you want to see the draws in advance, simply click on the links below:
