National School Girls’ Fives Tournament

Marlborough College, Wiltshire, Sunday 22nd April

Organiser Alex Smith is now accepting entries for the 2018 National School Girls’ Tournament, which will be held at Marlborough College on Sunday 22nd April.

The championships will include four age groups: Seniors (age 17 or younger), U16 (15 or younger), U14 (13 or younger) and U13 (12 or younger), with the player’s age being taken at the start of the academic year on September 1st 2017. And, while players can enter singles and doubles tournaments in different age categories, they can only enter one age category for each.

Initially, schools will be limited to entering four players at each age level, but there is a strong chance that any school wishing to enter more than that will be able to do so. However, the organiser would appreciate an early indication of that being the case!

As in previous years, the precise format of each event will depend on the number of entries, but the organiser expects a round-robin followed by a knockout stage, with a plate competition in each category.

All entries, which may be sent by email or post, must be received by Thursday 19th April. And, for full details of the event, just click on the link below to download the official entry form.
