Kay at the double in Yorkshire

Yorkshire Open Championships
Giggleswick School, Yorkshire, Saturday/Sunday, 12-13 October 2019

STOP PRESS: Ed Kay had a successful trip to Giggleswick at the weekend, returning to London with both singles and doubles trophies from the Yorkshire Open. In that sense, it was a repeat of his performance in 2017, the only difference being that his doubles partner was Ben Beltrami this year, rather than Dan Tristao.

In fact, it was a weekend of doubles, with Durham University’s Michael Suddaby completing a clean sweep of the Plate trophies. After teaming up with fellow student Douglas Law to win the doubles, he went on beat Derby Moor’s Lewis Keates to secure the singles Plate as well.
