Challenger Singles Tournament

Derby Moor, Saturday March 28th

After the success of the first Challenger singles tournament – held last December and won by Christian Blackaby (pictured above) – the RFA is delighted to announce that a second such event will be held in March. The next Challenger tournament will be played at Derby Moor on Saturday March 28th.

The one-day event will involve singles only, and the crucial difference between this and other RFA tournaments is that the top 16 ranked players are excluded. This makes the event ideal for both tournament novices and veterans, yet there will still be a medal for the winner and ranking points for the top finishers.

The event is being organised by Hamish Buchanan and Lewis Keates, with an entry fee of £10, and the aim is for all players to have as many games as possible. Plus, the organisers promise that, if the weather is decent, they will have other activities going on outside.
